COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID WHILE VOTING
COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID WHILE VOTING
(mistakes that makes votes not count)
1. The BIVAS machine.
Please take note that during accreditation your PVC would be placed on the BIVAS (make sure that the colour on the BIVAS changes to colour green which means you have been accredited but if it doesn't turn green it means your vote will be a void ) and your name written down.
If your name was written down without the BIVAS changing colour to green 💚 then it means we have all wasted our time .
IF THE COLOUR ON THE BIVAS DOESN'T CHANGE TO GREEN INSIST IT IS LOOKED INTO. DO NOT LET THEM WRITE YOUR NAME DOWN WITHOUT THE BIVAS ACCREDITATION BECAUSE YOUR VOTE WOULDN'T BE COUNTED.
2. ELECTIONS COMMENCES BY 10:00AM... Going early to your polling unit is important. Do not feel that in the evening when everyone has reduced you'll just enter and vote.... Accreditation commences first before the voting .. if you come in after accreditation is finalised, sorry even if you vote ... It will not count. Be careful
3. THUMB PRINTING ON THE CHOICE CANDIDATE AND PARTY.... it is advised to be very careful while thumb printing on the ballot paper. Make sure the ink on your finger is not much. Place your thumb carefully... Don't let the thumb print cross to another party's column. And make sure the ink is not dripping before you fold your ballot paper. If it drips to another column in the course of folding the paper, the vote will be cancelled.
MAKE SURE YOUR THUMB PRINT DOES NOT CROSS OVER THE SMALL SPACE. THE THUMB PRINT SHOULD BE VISIBLE TOO.
